iTunes 11 is out! What's hot and What's not?

Apple has just released the newest version of their Jukebox - iTunes 11. It is a big change for Apple and the world. The new iTunes 11 was first showcased at the WorldWide Developer's Conference 2012 following iOS 6. We tell you about the greatest features of the new iTunes. You can download the iTunes 11 here.

1. New Redesigned Look.
The new iTunes 11 comes with a totally redesigned and refreshed look. The new iTunes now shows your songs and albums in a clean and fresh UI. Clicking on an album opens up the content of that album in a smooth animation. The background is colored with the most prominent color of the cover art and the content is displayed.

2. The New Mini Player
It's tiny, It's Cute. iTunes’ compact player also got in on the design streamlining, with a simplified look that reveals more controls for Play/Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind upon mouseover. Even better, you can search from directly within the Mini Player, as well as manage your Up Next list without pulling up the full iTunes screen.

3. There's more of it, with iCloud.

iTunes comes integrated with iCloud. This means that all of your songs, movies, TV Shows and podcasts now are on your computer too. This means that let's say you are listening to a song and you can get suggestions from the iTunes Store and you can buy additional songs from the store. In the old days, you’d have to go into the iTunes Store to see the rest of the songs on that album or buy them, but with 11, these title names just populate right there in your library. So if you’ve already bought the other songs, you can just stream or download them in the same window, and if you haven’t, you can preview or buy the other tunes with a click.

In other words, you don’t have to kill the music experience for the shopping experience. That’s a major pro, but there’s a con as well. When you only want and bought a single track, you still have to see the other clutter, at least in the default view. You can go back to the column layout, but you’re ditching the album art look.

4. Searching, Just Got Better.
Just being able to search from the Mini Player is great enough, but enhanced search results is even better. A list pops up as you type, with results featuring artwork and broken down by Artists, Albums, Songs, Podcasts, Apps and more.

5.Preview History
Have you ever previewed an iTunes song when you're out and about and thought "man, buying from iTunes is far too difficult! I'll make a mental note to buy this when I get home!" No, us neither, but that's exactly what Preview History enables you to do: if you've clicked a music, film or TV programme preview on an iCloud-enabled device and haven't sealed the deal, iTunes 11 will chase you around the house until you click the buy button. Not really. It'll just show you a list of the things you've previewed.
